Complete stereo upgrade kit to install a single or double DIN aftermarket radio in a Porsche Boxster, Cayman or 911 cars withCDR24 or  PCM2.1 radios and Bose amplified audio systems and to retain the use of the original steering wheel audio controls.

This fitting kit includes a silver car radio fascia adapter panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket single or double DIN car radio upgrade. The fascia adapter allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio. This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation. Use the supplied pocket for a single DIN installation or remove the pocket for a double DIN installation.

A steering wheel control interface and radio fitting adapter cable is in the kit. The cable adapts from the Porsche ISO connectors in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip, source, mute and telephone buttons. Note; the operation of these buttons can be dependent on the vehicle spec and radio compatibility.
The CANbus interface will also provide key present ignition, illumination, reverse gear, handbrake and speed pulse outputs. A key present ignition means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel.

A MOST fibre optic interface is included, it is designed to retain the use of the original Bose fibre optic amplifier to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. The interface connects at the back of the radio, it takes the phono audio output from the new radio and converts it to a digital signal that works with the original Bose amplifier. Note, the front to rear fade feature will be lost.

A universal patch lead is supplied in the kit, this is to pair the steering wheel control interface to the steering control input of Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony aftermarket radios.

This kit includes a male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade.
